To not be misleading, let me rephrase that...
K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid.
There will be no discussion of getting any action here. Sorry to disappoint. Still it’s a desirable place to be. Simplicity. Maybe it’s through learning yoga, getting older or just getting sick of unnecessary stress. But for a while now I've just been reexamining how I do life, day in and day out. I have no shame in saying this - women complicate everything! Case in point... I just had to reword that sentence from “women over complicate everything” to “women complicate everything.” I admit it. Work, relationships, food, fashion, thoughts. We complicate things. Sure men can too. But we'll leave that for another day.
What is this impulsive drive we have to try so hard at everything? Do we purposely like to set ourselves up for total frustration? And if we only knew how much time is lost stressing ourself out it might stress us out all the more.
Some of the most beautiful things in life are simple.
Why is it Americans adore and are infatuated with cultures like France and Italy? Life there is simple, true to it’s roots. Understanding yoga has revealed many things I tend to complicate. Yoga may look complex but the concept is releasing tension to allow the body movement it was designed for. Life definitely can be complex. There's no getting around that. And if we take notice of when we hold tension or where we overcompensate in life, we never like what we see. We just make life more difficult than it has to be. Learning to let go of unnecessary stress frees us up to enjoy life all the more. So let it go... some things are just better simple.
This is really simple, really good, and really useful.
1 lb of any roasted nuts with sea salt (Cashews were used in mine)
Toss it in a food processor and blend until the butter is at the desired consistency.
FYI - Cashews make great butter. This morning I spread it over Ezekiel toast with fig jam.
